"Your browser is not protected from intrusion attempts" message in Norton Internet Security 2013

I have found the following two posts from September 2012.  Post 1:

Is this NIS 2012 or 2013. The 2013 version still has some bugs to be worked out.

Did you try and manually set the setting(s) yourself. Do you know if it's indicating the Browser Protection setting or the Intrusion Prevention setting.

To see if the settings are disabled, which they shouldn't be, go to - Settings > Web > Browser Protection > Browser Protection on the right side > make sure setting is On and bottom button is Applied. (There have been some reports from users that in the 2013 version, there has been some problems with this setting).

For Intrusion Prevention go to - Settings > Network > Intrusion Prevention > Intrusion Prevention setting on right side > make sure Intrusion Prevention in On and bottom button is Applied.

If this doesn't work and you have the 2013 version, these may be some problems different users are experiencing.

Additionally, you can run Norton Autofix before and/or after to check your installation. Upper right of the UI click - Support > Get Support.

Ok so this is what I have tried:

Clicked FIX NOW as on screen capture 1.  That didn't work.

Manually turned on the protection in Norton in screen capture 2.  Did this several times and it turned itself off again each time.

The intrusion prevention setting as above was already set correctly

Norton AutoFix did not find any problems.

I also went into Internet Explorer and turned on every Norton browser add-on myself, see screen capture 3.

Second post about this:

A few questions:

- Which Norton Product/Version is this?

- What Opperating System/Service Pack/Language are you running?

- How long have you had this issue? Was it with a previous version as well? When did it begin? When did it last work properly?

- Did you get an error the first time this issue occurred? Did you make any changes to your computer software/hardware, Windows Update, or anything that changed on the PC?

- Did you install over a previous version of Norton? Did you have any other Security Software installed previously?

Can you Export the Norton Error Reporting section of Security History as a text file and attach it to this post? Can you do the same for the Intrusion Prevention section of Security History? Feel free to send them in a Private Message if you'd like.

Here are my answers:

Version 20.1.0.24

OS Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1

I just installed this version over last year's version today, problem was immediate and I cannot fix it, ran the all updates and everything

Never had anything but Norton on this machine for security

Not a clue as to where to find the security history to export it

Bottom line:  I need some help, thanks.
