My laptop was offline for a few days. When I turned it on, I did a manual live update. Halfway through installing a patch, NIS said there was an error and that the computer needed to be restarted. I restarted and ran live update and autofix and all seemed to be okay.
A few minutes later, I was checking the file insight on a file submitted to Community Watch. As I was doing so, the NIS status went from green to orange with the message that my PC needed to be scanned for viruses and spyware and the date of the last scan (January 28th) highlighted in orange.
If the scan comes back clean, is there anything to be concerned about? Would six days between scans have been enough to trigger the alert? I've gotten similar alerts in the past, but only when there has been a long period between scans.
Any feedback is much appreciated!
