Detailed description:

I offer my recent experience in case anyone else has had similar problems. For a couple of weeks YouTube was buffering, taking ages to load or even completely failing to play videos. I tried absolutely everything suggested without success. The only thing that worked was restarting my laptop, which is clearly not a tenable solution.

It then occurred to me that the only recent change I could recall was the introduction of the Deepfake Potection feature in N360. I turned it of and YouTube is now functioning normally.

I had the same issue. However, after disabling the deepfake protection, the problem returned. I believe deepfake protection kept running, and the only thing I disabled was the notification. There were no error messages, and besides the long buffer times, it would crash YouTube. After uninstalling Norton, everything worked. I saw this problem on both of my browsers, Chrome and Firefox. My system is a Dell XPS 16 9649 running Windows 11

Hi, Jose. I’m sorry you’ve had this problem too - it really is disruptive. Fortunately for me, since disabling Deepfake the problem has comletely disappeared. YouTube is working normally and I no longer get those intrusive messages telling me that clips are AI when they are not. Interestingly (or coincidentally) my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 14. I hope you’ve been able to reinstall Norton and have solved the problem.
