Win 10 and auto log-in

I just received a new (used but new to me) laptop - New HP Split x2 13-M110DX 13.3" Touch-Screen Intel i3 128GB SSD Ultrabook Tablet with Win 10. I got NIS 360 installed and it has all my log-in/fill-in info even though my vault is open.

When I go to a web site none of the log-in info comes up except for Norton. If I go into my vault and scroll down to any web site I want to go to, I click on the arrow (pointing right), the web site comes up but the drop down button (if more than one log-in) doesn't appear and none of the log-in info auto fills.

Is there something I need to do to get it working like it's supposed to? No problems with my desktop.

Didn't know which label to put this under, so, if it's wrong, please move and advise.

Re: Win 10 and auto log-in

Thanks floplot for your reply. I'm using 22.7.1.32

The computer was completely wiped and had Win 10 installed. It has Edge as the default browser which I hate and will not use. I also have Chrome. If I use it, I have to re-enter all my log-in info and then Chrome will save it.

I Googled on how to make IE my default but I had to somehow find a way to open IE. I was able to open a site where I used IE and when I went to Internet Options, it showed IE is already the default option. However, if I use Edge or Chrome, there is no "internet options" available.

Right now, I guess I'm going to have to "bite the bullet" and start using Chrome. Is NIS ok with Chrome?

Re: Win 10 and auto log-in

22.7 is not the latest version. You should run LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available. This should bring you to 22.8.0.50

If you want access to IE from Win 10, click on the Start icon and start typing Internet Explorer. When it shows in the list, click on it. While it is open, right click on the icon in the task bar and pin the icon to the taskbar. From now on, you can open IE from the taskbar. To make it your default browser, click on the Windows Start icon, then on Settings. Go to System - Default Apps. Scroll down to Web Browser, click on it and choose which browser you want.

If you had an online vault, you should not have to re enter all your logins.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thank you peterweb for your help.

Your guidance did the trick. I really appreciate your time and assistance.

I'm an "old dog" and not to willing to learn new tricks. Not enough years left.

Re: Win 10 and auto log-in

I can't stand Edge. Was willing to switch to Chrome if necessary.

Hope you have a great weekend.
