VPN won't stay on

My VPN keeps turning off.  How do I keep it on at all times on my desktop computer?  I have Windows 7, if that makes a difference.  Each time I try to open "secure vpn" to turn on, it gives me an error and will not turn it on.  I have just signed up with Norton 360 with lifelock.  Thank you for any help.

Re: VPN won't stay on

What error is the VPN giving when you try to turn it on?

Have you restarted your computer?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: VPN won't stay on

It says:  "Norton Secure VPN Has Stopped Working" and I am forced to close program every time.

Yes, have deleted history, etc etc and restarted 2x now...

Re: VPN won't stay on

Did you just install the new 360 over your existing Norton product? If so, it might be worth getting a fresh install using the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.   www.norton.com/nrnr   Use the Advanced Remove Only option to fully remove your product. Restart your computer and then log into your Norton Account and download and install your 360. Be sure you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available.

Try going into your Network Connections Adapter settings and enabling the "Symantec TAP Driver" ethernet connection even if you don't have ethernet, you have ethernet but you do not use ethernet to connect to the internet, or the Symantec TAP Driver connection is otherwise unplugged.  I
