Building of errors/issues
Norton 360 Premier Edition 22.214.171.124 Error: 8504, 104 Windows 7 Home Premium 7601.18526.amd64fre.win7sp1_gdr.140706-1506 Norton Autofix Results: 0 item(s) The above is the error I am experiencing. This happened for the first time about two hours ago, and it "resolved itself", clearly it did not. The second time it gave me this. I believe it is some kind of correlation with why my internet has been consistently randomly cutting out for unexplained intervals. When I try troubleshooting using two different kinds of connections either wireless or ethernet I typically get the message: website (www.microsoft.com) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts. (The remote computer isn't responding to connections on port 80, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable. Windows couldn't find any problems with the Firewall any our computer.) Obviously I have a very hard time believing that last sentence is addressing Norton and is more specifically referring to the building firewall that comes standard on systems and as it is not the one running my security it can't properly identify the issue.
