Norton Search Provider keeps disappearing

Using Norton 360 on a Windows 7 OS and using Microsoft IE (latest).  Norton Safe Search keeps disappearing from my IE Search Provider Add-on List.  It is being replaced by Bing which removes Norton as default search provider and sets Bing as default ... even when I have selected to "Prevent programs from suggesting changes to my default search provider".  When I become aware of this I remove Bing from the list, but Norton does not reappear.  I have tried everything that I know of, but I can not stop this Bing PUP from exploiting my browser.  Someone out there MUST know what is going on.  This seems like a case for an Anti-Trust lawsuit to me ...

Re: Norton Search Provider keeps disappearing

Have you considered reinstalling Norton?  You can download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool which will uninstall your copy of Norton and reinstall a fresh new copy.

If you decide to give this a go be sure to read the Before you begin section.

Re: Norton Search Provider keeps disappearing

Well Krusty (you devil, or is it clown?) -

I ran NRnR and still no love.  It's hard for me to believe that Norton has not addressed this problem ... been going on for a very long time now, and I'm know that others have struggled with this as well.  My sub (started in 2009) runs out in 164 days, and that's how long I'm giving them to clean this product up.  I've used Norton at home (and many seats at work) since they began and frankly for a relatively high-dollar security program it has always had problems.  I'm worn out and just plain tired of this kind of stuff.  BUT, I am still open to any solution!  lol
