Issue with Windows 10

Hi, I have updated to Windows 10 with which I had an issue with the home screen flashing.  One suggestion was that it was Nortons that was the issue so I deleted Nortons however I now can't reinstall as the following message appears:  The subscription has been disabled and cannot be renewed. (-1006).

My subscription is paid for and active as shown in my account.  All 3 computers are listed,

Not sure what to do???

Help

Re: Issue with Windows 10

hi Antiquo

How did you uninstall your Norton product, if not already tried it may be good to use the Norton Removal Tool which can be downloaded from the link below:

Norton Removal Tool

When asked save your settings once complete shut down and restart your computer.

Sign in to your Norton Account click on the Settings tab where you will see your Norton Product listed with the number of available seats, those used and remaining to be used. You should find that one of the seats has been freed up which will allow you to download and install your Norton Product. If the computer you wish to reinstall on is still listed click on the bin next to it when the seat will be freed up for you to use. Once the seat is available click on download on the same page and follow the instructions. This will download the latest version of your Product.

I find that following installation a complete shutdown of the computer in addition to the automatic restarts often help.

Re: Issue with Windows 10

Hello Antiquo - Welcome to the Community forums!

If your issue persists after trying Michael's suggestions try using the Norton Management website to free up the license seat for your affected computer.  Note, To use the website successfully, you will need to know your Norton Account login credential...

https://manage.norton.com/

Once there, if all available seats on your license have been utilized, you might be immediately prompted to select one of the seats (to free) before being allowed to proceed with the download/re-install of your product. If you receive this prompt, it will be necessary to use its option suggestion to free up the license seat for your affected computer...

If you are not prompted (about all your product's license seats being used), do the following steps...

1) Click on the SERVICES tab (tabs are located along the top of the webpage).
2) Locate and select your product in the list of Norton products (you've licensed).
3) Scroll down the webpage to the "Manage My Installs" section.
4) In the list of installed seats, find the entry for your affected computer.
5) Click the Trashcan Icon (on your affected computer's entry to remove the seat.
6) You can then click the Download button to initiate the download / re-installation process (on the affected computer).

Kind regards,
John
