Norton 360 problems updating

norton have problems connecting to the norton servers on 2 occasions i got the error message 3048,3, but most of the time i don't get any message. when i manually push update the update menu says "searching for updates" but nothing happens. this goes on for 1-6 days then i am able to connect for 1-3 days (sometimes only for 10-30min)  have been having this problem for a month.

have reinstalled using norton remove and install 2 times.

Norton 360, vista, 22.5.2.15

i have used the intelligent updater.

and i have scaned with norton 360 (with uptodate definitions),  norton power eraser and malwarebytes.

as a test i installed bitdefender free and its is able to update (also did a system scan). so it is not a virus that is preventing me fom uppdating

btw. i am also unable to do a norton insight search.. it says it is unable to connect to server

Hi, SmurfDude. it may be that the update to V22.5.2.15 has become corrupted, so  you may wish to use the Norton Removal Tool which will do a more thorough job of removing Norton.  https://www.norton.com/nrt

Download the tool and then uninstall Norton via Programs and Features in Control Panel, and reboot.

Then run the Removal Tool, and reboot again. You can then download a fresh preactivated version of 360 from your Norton Account.

Run Live Update after until no more are found. It might also be worth checking that your system clock and time zone are correct, and also go to the UI/Help/Subscription Status to ensure you are synched with the Norton servers.

did not work... was able to download new updates just after after i finsihed installing, but after i did restarted (updates rquiered a restart), the connection problems was back.

system clock and time zone are ok

UI/Help/Subscription Status are ok
