When you scan in safe mode...Do you have to scan all accounts separately??

Do you have to scan both the Admin A/C and the  Limited User A/Cs while in safe mode or just the Admin account and that will cover the other Limited user accounts ,and they won't need to be scanned.?

Thanks

Cheers Mo Windows 7 64 bit, NIS2013

No malware, I just  tend to scan  in safe mode once in a while. I have just added a 2nd account =limited user and I am unsure should I scan both accounts or just the Admin account.

If you use both why not scan both. I you use both, both could possibly be infected

Scanning in your administrator account should include all files on the system, including those in all accounts.  You can check to be sure by watching the scan progress dialog (Luckily, the user documents and settings files are scanned fairly early so you only need to devote a few minutes to confirm this).  As you probably know, scanning as a limited user will not allow Norton access to Windows system files.

No I did not know this...hence my question!  So basically you only need to scan the Admin, and if you want to be extra cautious scan ALL accounts or is this a pointless excercise (scanning ALL accounts).

From NIS 2009 Help:

Full System Scan performs a deep scan of the system to
remove viruses and other security threats. It checks all boot records, files,
and running processes to which the user has access. Consequently, when an
Administrator runs a Full System Scan, it scans more files than when a user who
does not have Administrator privileges runs a scan.

I'm pretty certain one scan with administrator privileges is all you need.
