Auto-protext "not fixed"...reinstallation tool does not correct

So I have Norton 360 Premier running on Windows 8.1.  All of the sudden, I get "you are at risk" under "security."  I click "fix it now" and it comes up that "auto protect" is "not fixed."

I came across the solution to download and use the unstallation/reinstallation tool.  I used it and reinstalled the program.  It had no effect.

When I try to run a quick scan, I get "error during scan.  Sometimes I get an error correction tool that says it is fixing error 3038, 104.  It then turns all green and says "success" and under that "repair/installation, result/success."  However, the error still exists afterward.

Liveupdate appears to successfully check for updates.

When I look under advanced, Autoprotect is set to "on" but it is grayed out...it isn't green.

Is there a solution for this problem?  Am I protected right now or not?

Well, if you've tried NRnR Tool....you may try NRnR Tool again from Windows Admin user account or try the Norton Removal Tool.
Or, pull pre-activated install from your Norton account.  Installer will uninstall on first run and install on second run. Then run LiveUpdate several times until no updates found > re-start not under the influence of Fast Startup > repeat.
Or, wait for Community.
Or, Chat with Official Norton Support  --- Call Official Norton Support

Re: Auto-protext "not fixed"...reinstallation tool does not correct

Hi folks,

We've just released an Auto-Protect HotFix that addresses this error. I recommend that you run LiveUpdate and restart your system as prompted. Once the hotfix is installed, let us know if you're still seeing the Auto-Protect issues. Thanks.
