Identity Safe on iPhone

I downloaded the Identity Safe in my iPhone..used it for a few months and stored a lot of credentials... it was helpful as I have so many log-in infos PINs etc... one day the app was acting weird because it was not asking for my touch id log in.. it was asking to log-in with my id and password... unfortunately, it was not accepting my password... so i pressed "need help" and it prompted me to a password recovery process. i hit submit, went to my email, followed the link, and created a new log-in info... here's my BIGGEST problem, the new vault is now empty and I could not not retrieve the data form the old vault. the customer rep helped me out but could not proceed without me remembering the password to the old vault. but that's the reason i went through the whole process because i got locked out with the old password, and they want me to recall the freaking old password???? so now the data is un-retrievable!!! what a convenient way!! so pathetic!

Re: Identity Safe on iPhone

You have to look at this from a different perspective. Had your phone been stolen and the thief tried to get Norton to free up the vault information in the way you are asking Norton to assist you.

It is unfortunate if you cannot remember the password, but the product is doing what it is designed for. To protect your login data.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Identity Safe on iPhone

How about you look at it how to protect and help the users? Norton could have designed it with challenge questions or some sort of verification in case of forgotten password. That way the account is protected and the data becomes retrievable. Sorry but I don't see you scenario a justification because I wouldn't worry losing my phone because the thief has to unlock it first before going to my vault with another layer of password protection.
