Computor safety

Hi. I do not have a problem as such. I am concerned about computor safety.
When I have contacted you by live chat before, you have "taken over" my computor to check/adjust settings etc. My question is, would it be possible for a hacker to do the same?

Re: Computor safety

Hi, Paul. Anything is possible, but you can mitigate the danger by safe internet practises. Check out this link.

Lots of good tips from other users.

Re: Computor safety

To add to F 4 E's information.

When you contacted  Support, you had to manually download and run the connector software. The only way this could happen with a hacker is if they were able to convince you to allow it.

The protection against this is to never allow anyone to access your system if you did not initiate the initial contact.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
