Statistical Submissions after an intrusion attempt

I was redirected to a malicious link on a hacked website and recieved the alert 'An intrusion attempt was prevented' (the threat was 'Web Attack: Malicious JavaScript Redirection 2'). Naturally, though not particularly spooked as Norton blocked it, I headed over to run a full system scan, and checked my security history as it went (still awaiting results, looks fine so far). Here's where it gets wierd. Since then I've had masses of statistical submissions (though they have stopped occuring). While Ssubs are supposed to be fine according to other forum members, I hadn't seen any of these at all until this, and the concentration of them was suprising. Other interesting things also occured in my Security History: I had an entry for 'IP address has dissappeared from adapter x' and an 'protecting your connection to a newly detected network on adapter x'. anyone offer advice as to whether my PC is safe and these were coincidences or whether I'm being constantly watched by a nigerian prince? Thanks.

Re: Statistical Submissions after an intrusion attempt

Statistical submissions are not indicators of malware and firewall activity logs are simply showing your network adapter connections.  All perfectly normal and nothing to be concerned about.

Re: Statistical Submissions after an intrusion attempt

Thank you! I had just wondered about it as intrusion preventions are naturally fairly frightening, which is why I was startled by the activity. This is wonderful news, thanks again!
