Core Security Plus
Last week , I pre-ordered Norton Core. I currently have Norton Security Premium with Backup. After the pre-order I downloaded and installed the included software, Core Security Plus. The install didn't seem to change anything on my computer. It seems to be the same product with a different name. My issue started when my software went to perform a backup. Pretty much the same think happened as user "Disiplec". On my local software it showed 0gb of online backup, and would crash whenever i tried to log in. My subscription showed I had 32gb free when looking at my account on Norton website.
Not being able to figure the problem out on my own, I contacted online support through Chat feature. Very friendly and Helpful. The used remote connection to control my computer to try and fix problem. The first technician worked on the problem for about 45 minutes. Removing my Premium software and installing new Core software. Same result at the end. He transferred me to a level 2 Technician, who worked on my computer for 30 minutes or so, Removing any and all traces or Norton/Symantec from my computer, Registries and all. After him erasing and installing, Backup showed my available space and everything seemed to be up and working. I thanked him and we parted ways. The next day I checked my system and things were good. I logged onto my account on the Norton website, to find he just reinstalled my Norton Security Premium. (Not the Core Security Plus)
So, now I wonder if I should try to install Core Security again, or just wait to receive the actual Core router, and Hope Norton has fixed the issues by then? Not sure what to do.
Does Norton Core Security Plus, still come with Online backup?
