Connection problems

Hello, already 2 weeks I have problems with my connection. I'm have connection with internet all the time but sometimes it's very slow and I have high ping. And weird thing when my borther scan our wifi on his laptop with Avast everytime clear my Norton history on my computer . How can I scan my wifi? Cause I don't have any option to scan my wifi in NIS

I'm worried someone hacked my router or something. I scanned my pc with NIS,NPE and malwarebytes to make sure I don't have any virus

Re: Connection problems

Do you see the same slow down on multiple devices?

Have you installed Norton Wifi Privacy, NWP on your computer? This has been known to slow down your connection speeds.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Connection problems

No sure about slow on other devices because my brother's laptop is old and too weak to download or play anything.so it's very slow afterall.

And I don't have NWP on my pc. Only NIS

Re: Connection problems

Did your brother see any problems when he connected to your network?

Try power cycling your modem and router.

Re: Connection problems

Lots of things can cause slow wifi.  First, test your speed using a wired ethernet connection to make sure you are getting the speed your ISP has provisioned, using your ISP's speedtest webpage.  If your wired speed is good but wifi is slow, try changing the channel of your wifi in your router settings.

Re: Connection problems

My downloading speed is normal again but is there any option to see how many devices connected to my wifi? Want to make sure I'm safe

Re: Connection problems

The devices connected to your router should be listed by MAC address in the router settings.

Re: Connection problems

Also I have found something new when I scanned my pc with NPE. NPE scanned folder c/programdata/.mono

It's probably Net framework thing but I never seen that before
