Deleting Unused Devices from Address Reserved List

I have some address reservations for devices that I am no longer using. They are still showing up in the "ADD" tab of the address reservation list, and in the "offline" list of devices. These inactive devices still retain their old IP address. I want to clean up this list and free up the IP address. In some cases, I have upgraded the network cards and the old MAC IDs will never be used again in my system, but I'd like to continue to use the same IP address for the device, i.e. a laptop. I understand that this function is not yet available in the Core app. Can anyone tell me if it is being worked on for a future app release?

Hello wjhallahan

I replaced my printer. My old printer stayed in the offline area for about 30 days. After that time, it disappeared from the list. You can also clean up the devices in your Norton Account. I could answer part of your question.

Thanks.

Re: Deleting Unused Devices from Address Reserved List

All: The issue of manually removing a device from your network vice having to wait for 30 days to pass before it automatically does so on its own was addressed some time ago. Requested to be added into an app release and firmware. Personally I have not heard whether it will be added at some point or not. But I WILL ask again and share the response.

Cheers

Re: Deleting Unused Devices from Address Reserved List

Nice to know the devices fall off the list after 30 days. That's a good start, but it would be nice if the CUSTOMER could set the duration in the app, like: immediate (for a new replacement printer, NIC, or NAS device), 1 week, 2 weeks (for the house guests that come and go for an extended period), 30 days, never...

I appreciate the mind-set of the designers of CORE, which attracted me to buy one in the first place, but a little more flexibility in areas that don't affect security would make CORE a much more user friendly router, IMHO.

Re: Deleting Unused Devices from Address Reserved List

Just spit balling from someone who does not yet have a Core.  As you see the device listed, can you right or left swipe on that device to see if there is a delete option?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

No there isn't.

MannyT is right, swipping in either direction does not reveal any delete options.
