BHDrvx64.sys ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY

I've been experiencing a lot of system instability since installing Norton, so I thought I'd share this call stack from a BHDrvx64.sys bug check (attached). I've temporarily disabled SONAR to see if stability improves. I'm running Norton Security 22.11.2.7 with latest updates as of the time of this post. Let me know if there is any additional info I can provide.

Hello a_norton_user Please ensure you are logging into windows under an admin account, and have fast boot disabled. Here is how to disable fast boot in case you are not familiar with it. Make sure you reboot and recheck for the issue you are seeing.

Thanks SoulAsylum. I had already disabled fast boot. Can you clarify the admin account requirement? My account is admin, but I also have non-admin Windows profiles for family members. Is that a problem for Norton? I will try removing Norton, observing if stability improves, then reinstalling.

Hello again. Do the removal and reinstallation from an admin account so that all the system settings for Norton will then go "global" within windows. The standard users won't be able to remove or make changes to programs on the system anyway. Let us know what your results are when done. Thanks in advance.

Hi again SoulAsylum. Unfortunately this system is currently offline. This may have been a hardware problem, as my system instability got to the point I couldn't successfully boot into a clean Windows installation. After much hardware troubleshooting I sent my motherboard in for an RMA and I'm still waiting on the results of Gigabyte's testing.

Motherboard RMA came back without any problems identified. I contacted Intel and they agree that at this point it would seem my i7-8700K CPU is probably defective, and it will be replaced under warranty. So I would disregard this entire thread. Thanks for your help SoulAsylum.
