NIS Always Reverts To Trial

Hi,

I've bought a proper legal copy of Norton Internet Security (factory sealed DVD box) and set up a Norton Account. I've installed the program, logged into my Norton Account and entered the key. It says 1 of 3 remaining and 366 days.

Today I look in my Norton account and it just lists a trial version. What's going on and am I installing NIS correctly?

Thanks for your help.

Re: NIS Always Reverts To Trial

What is showing on your computer? Does the main Norton screen show the correct number of days for your subscription? If so, try restarting your computer, then open Norton and click on Help - Subscription Status. That should sync your computer with the web site.

Also, as long as you see a green check mark on the Norton icon in your system tray, the product is protecting you, regardless of what the web site says.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: NIS Always Reverts To Trial

I contacted Norton direct this morning and they were useless! The only help they could offer was to 'restart the computer'. Of course, the same error came up!

I'm thinking that you must use the very latest version of NIS to avoid this error. That is:  NIS-ESD-22.12.0.104-EN,  as far as I can see. Any opinions?

Re: NIS Always Reverts To Trial

You did not answer my question about what is shown when you look at NIS on your computer. Does is show the correct number of days remaining? It could just be an issue with the web site syncing with your computer. As long as you have a green check mark in the Norton icon in your system tray, your product is working correctly.

What version of NIS are you trying to install?

You should be able to just download the latest version of NIS  from   www.norton.com/latestnis   and use the product key from the package you bought to activate it.
