I've got "You Are At Risk" because of not all data-sets were backuped

Hi,

I have 10 backup sets which are controlled absolutely manually. Why you mark my computer as "At Risk"? How to remove such mark? BTW, in my case you must ask me to start backup for every data-set when StartBackup-button is pressed.

Any help to unmark "AtRisk" status on my computer if many of my manually backups were not run for a long time.

There is no setting to stop notifications when Norton detects you have not backed up recently. Is there some reason that you do not want the backups to run automatically?

Re: I've got "You Are At Risk" because of not all data-sets were backuped

Well, I use backups in some complicated way. Just an simple example: I defined set of files-and-directories on my computer but created many names-of-backup-sets which all connected with them and used only manually. Some names used for monthly, others for weekly and one for daily backups. Because of current limit to 10 backup-names I have to delete the most old backups  sometimes. So, in my case all backup-names are for manual control only. Why does NortonBackup mark my computer "AtRisk" and insist on run all my manual backups to fix "AtRisk" status? In my case, it's nonsence because all my backup-sets will be substituted to current state. I don't want that.

Re: I've got "You Are At Risk" because of not all data-sets were backuped

Your use of the backup works for you, but is not what Norton is expecting of the backup feature. It is designed as a set and forget feature that would run at least daily when your system is idle. If something is happening with your computer that interferes with the backup feature, Norton will warn you that the backup has not run as expected. For regular users, this is a heads up that they need to check on the backup feature to see why the backup are not running.

Norton has no way to know that you have taken a different approach, so you get the warnings. The only suggestion I can make is to disable the backup function between the times you run the backups manually. Then re enable the feature when you are ready to run one of your backups. It may be a little tedious, but it should stop the warnings from popping up while using the computer.

I'd expect that in case of all backup-sets are controlled only manually then message "AtRist" is kind of dubious and should be like a warning without reminders and red-flag marks. Norton have to check only automatic backups to produce such "AtrRisk" red-flags

I understand that is your expectation, but the fact is the backup feature of NSBU is designed to run automatically.

This might be a good suggestion for the Product Suggestions board https://community.norton.com/forums/product-suggestions
