Norton community watch query

I have a log placed in Norton community watch in my Norton history and now i want to ask what does this mean? i mean there it shows that Norton would send data for those particular threats, and when i checked the file that Norton is sending log to symantec, it came clean when i ran scanner, so why Norton is flagging them as suspicious file? please check my log given below..and tell me why scanner did not catch them, and why they flagged as suspicious and now they are being send to Symantec..??

Genuine Windows 8.1 x64 Pro; NIS 2014; HP Pavallion G6 Notebook with AMD Core 2 Quad A10; 6 GB RAM; ; 1TB Western Digital HDD, AMD Radeon 2.5 GB Graphics Card

Re: Norton community watch query

Hi! Silverhawk,

I have read the file you included and it seems that the information on the files is being sent for statistical purposes; which does not necessarily mean that a file is a suspicious one it just means that your Norton product is adding your system to the list of anonymous reports of what programs/files are present on users systems.  I would recommend downloading and installing MalwareBytes updating it and running a full scan of your system to see if any malware is found.  If malware is found post the log to this thread and guru will be with you shortly.

Re: Norton community watch query

All applications are also counted on how often it appears on a persons machine and how often is the application being named dangerous or not?

This way Norton can create a large pool with all applications and the whitelisting begins.
