Latest Norton VPN app not working properly

My Norton Secure VPN upgraded earlier today on my Android Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone.  When I try to open it after the "Agree & Continue" screen, a message appears stating that the app is setting up the Norton account.  The next message that appears is "We were unable to setup your subscriptions due to a system error.  Please try again (3304).  When I select "Try Again" the same thing happens.  I have uninstalled and re-installed this app twice and re-started my phone both times and the app still doesn't work.  How can this be resolved?

Others here have been reporting issues with signing into Norton servers for product activations.

Hopefully these issues will be resolves quickly.

Can you try activating Norton VPN again? Another user was able to activate a mobile Norton product today, that they could not for a few days now.

I'm having the same issue, previously had the 7 day trial but canceled and purchased through Norton website. I receive the same message, with error codes 3304 and 5203. Tried removing app, restarting phone, deleting app data with no success.

This same issue has been reported in another thread where a Norton employee has posted.  https://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-mobile-wifi-privacy

I have asked for an update in that thread.

Today the message has changed to "We're working to resolve an issue that prevents us from completing your request. Try again later (-2016)"

So hopefully that means it's being fixed.

Could it be due to me having the trial through Google Playstore? I canceled the full subscription after realizing it was only for 1 device, then signed up for the 5 device subscription through Norton directly. On my Norton Account, both the Playstore trial and actual subscription appear. Could it be attempting to sign in to my trial which is expired?

I think I have seen the VPN install problem in a couple of threads.  I am trying to install the Norton Secure VPN on an iPhone XS (iOS 12.1), and while it installs, it does not get beyond the " 'Secure VPN' Would LIke to Add VPN Configurations".  When I allow it, I am asked to enter my iPhone passcode (which I do), which brings me to the Secure VPN app information screen, but when I go to "Turn On VPN", it goes right back to the " 'Secure VPN' Would Like to Add VPN Configurations."

There are no VPNs installed when I check the General-VPN area of Settings.  My iPad Air was successful at installing the app, and connecting via VPN (it DOES have a VPN for Secure VPN installed identified in that portion of setting).

I have tried deleting the app, deleting the app through the iPhone Storage location (which deletes all associated files) several times now, restarting the phone, etc. to no avail.  I just purchased the Secure VPN subscription (5 devices) 2 days ago.

Does anybody have an suggestions?

I spent about an hour with Norton tech support last night, utilizing the LogMeIn screen transmission methodology (the support person could see my screen live, but I performed all the actions on the phone).  After deleting, reinstalling, and re-trying several things that I had previously done several times (again, to no avail), it was announced that the Secure VPN application app was not installing correctly with iOS 12.1, and that it was the step where the passcode is entered to configure the VPN part of the install.  The support person said that the workaround is to delete the passcode for the Apple iPhone, and then install and configure the VPN (without the need for the passcode entry for that particular step).  Of course, my iPhone does not seem to allow the passcode to be disabled (the feature is grayed out). So I guess I will just wait until the application is updated through the app store, and I will try to reinstall when the updated app is released.

Happy to say I was able to log in tonight. Not sure when it was fixed as I haven't attempted login for a few days. Thanks to the team for sorting this out.
