Re: NO.VIRUS DEFINITION SINCE MARCH 2,2019

This has been discussed here a couple of times. For the latest versions of NMS it is not unusual to not have any malware definitions for up to 2 weeks. The product now focuses on online definitions, similar to what the PC products do now. The online defs are up to the minute current. So you have no worries about your protection level.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: NO.VIRUS DEFINITION SINCE MARCH 2,2019

Hello Peter,

Thanks for your sharing information, of course I didn't doubted about the protection, however I little bit confusing regarding The online definition up to date as the definitions online, in the App.Settings there is option for the Run Live update  with on/off "Run on Wi-Fi only" what is the relation with the "Online Definitions", if I toggle on Run on Wi-Fi only whether is mean I didn't receiving the definition till 2 weeks later.

Awaiting a further information.

Thanks & B/regards,

Handjojo

Re: NO.VIRUS DEFINITION SINCE MARCH 2,2019

The Run on Wi-Fi only setting will only affect actual runs of LiveUpdate. It should have nothing to do with the online defs. If you are not online, you are not vulnerable to online threats. Next time you get a network connection your Norton can do any scanning needed.
