VPN stops working

VPN has been problematic since 1st installation  and was recently cleaned & re-installed by support.  It worked normally (or at least it said it had secured the connection) for about a week or slightly more.  Now it is telling me that there is no Internet connection (but there is) and thus is not securing the connection at all.  Help please: 1. Is there some common issue with the software that just needs to be sorted out - or something specific to Windows 8.1?   2. Is there a solution for the VPN being erratic?  Thanks.

Personally, I have never been able to get the VPN to start in the new 360 product. I'm running it on Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, ver 1803.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Was waiting to see how it went over the next week, but VPN now only connects about 1 in 10 times.  It usually just says, "connecting" for an hour or more while I work and never does connect.  Does not matter what WiFi network - it's now doing this essentially every time I connect to a network.  Anyone with a fix for this?  I've done the Norton support and turned over control of computer at least twice, but no joy after a week or less.  Since the only reason I paid for 360 was to get VPN, this is not too workable.
