Protecting your connection to a newly detected network.

Hello. This morning I noticed a series of messages in NIS security history. First, there are two messages that say "IP address has disappeared from adapter Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter and is no longer being protected (IPaddress: 2001::9d38:6ab8:454:b72:3f57:fed0)" and "IP address has disappeared from adapter Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter and is no longer being protected (IP address: fe80::454:b72:3f57:fed0%10)" which are followed by two other messages that say

"Protecting your connection to a newly detected network on adapter "Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter" (IP address: fe80::3c4e:3ac5:9d93:16c0%10)" and "Protecting your connection to a newly detected network on adapter "Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter" (IP address: 2001::9d38:6ab8:3c4e:3ac5:9d93:16c0)".

This wouldn't normally bother me as this happens about once a day, but today this happened 7 times. Is this cause for concern? Thanks!

Re: Protecting your connection to a newly detected network.

This sounds like your router may be resetting the ip address to your PC. Each time the IP address is lost from the router you will see the first message. Then when a new IP is assigned, you get the message about the new network.

Check any other computers on the same network to see if they are seeing the same drop outs at the same time.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
