If you have your product key with you, then open your Norton 2009 product.
Click Subscribe Now at the bottom of the Norton interface.
Click Enter a subscription renewal code or another product key
Now enter your product key in the spaces provided.
Follow the on screen instructions.
Looking my my norton account, it shows NAV twice. One expires in 09 and one was registed today and expired today.
I uninstalled and reinstalled NAV cause it did not launch at startup.
One more question. Do your subscription days start counting down after activation or only when it is installed?
For any subscription problem the best is to contact Customer Support -- there are many reports here of them sorting them out and I've seen one where the problem was that a second account had turned up that should not be there so maybe that has happened to you with that one day wonder.

A Note on the date for a subscription to start running. As said it starts from installation but remember that with multiple PC versions all subs start running on the date the first one starts -- not as each is installed and activated.

I contacted customer support during the time I posted my post and they sorted this all out and gave me an extra 20 days for my troubles. Thanks!
