'IP address has disappeared'

Too Bad :

why you guys removed the proper notification for this kind of issue ?  You guys want to hide that or what  ?

It has happened several times in this new 21.1.0.18

I cannot go to internet and with in 5 sec, it says Page Not found.

After that the computer networking icon to bottom right - turns to Yellow esclamation mark  !!!

But,  too badddddddddddddddd,  there is no message in your history,  what is the reason for this  ???????

Did you guys removed this  ?  Or this is no need to report in history  ?

After 10 or 15 seconds it comes back ON.

Re: 'IP address has disappeared'

Hi,

You may have some router or ISP connection problems, that's why you are getting the yellow exclamation mark in the Networking icon.

Also, if after some time the connection comes back check also your network adapters, drivers or configuration to make sure thar everything is workning as expected.

Same thing for your home router and give a call to your ISP to check the quality of your link.

Regards,

Re: 'IP address has disappeared'

Hi uregmi,

Could be an ISP issue or a local network issue.  Are you losing connectivity only on wired or wireless devices, or both?  You can ignore the Norton History logs - they are just reporting that the connection was lost, so the firewall is no longer monitoring it.  The log entries are a result of your connectivity issues, and not a cause of them.

I use LAN connections.  Wireless is fine

why Norton is not reporting when there is no internet connection  ????

Sometimes Windows drivers can get corrupted. Try going into Device Manager and removing the Lan Network devices. Reboot the computer and allow Windows to reinstall the Network devices.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

So wireless never loses connectivity, even when your wired network goes offline?  Have you checked your cables and connections?

It really isn't necessary for Norton to alert to internet connectivity drop-outs, as they are usually immediately apparent to the user.  Norton simply logs that it can't see a connection, either.
