Upgrading in the normal way preserves your existing subscription rights so just go ahead with the built in New Version Check if that is still under Support on the main GUI screen,

You only lose your days if you buy a new copy for some reason and use its KEY to activate; that wipes out unused days although Norton OnLine Support is said to be helpful in adding them back. But that's a concession so best not abused.

If you have any problems let us know and I'm sure we can help you resolve them. If you are using the Identity Safe it's always a good thing to export the data to a safe place using the two file formats it offers ..... just in case.

the upgrade is taken by norton own, no need to download a trial version?

Hi 1max1,

You don't need to download anything.

As per Hugh's post, you can do it from within your Norton product. Open NIS >Support >New Version Check, follow the steps of the process.

At the end,  run LiveUpdate a few times until you see "LiveUpdate finished - No updates found", rebooting as requested.

If you are using the Identity Safe, please follow Hugh's advice "...it's always a good thing to export the data to a safe place using the two file formats it offers ..... just in case."

1max1,

Adding to my post above, this screenshot shows what said about checking for the new version:

Re: NIS 2013 up 2014

You can also right click on your tray icon, and tick Check for new version.

At least Norton gives you options !
