We have been in business since 2007. We had a new website designed by a new company in March of this year. The site was doing well up until a few weeks ago when we were notified by a customer that Norton was blocking the site. We have since been notified that Avast is also blocking the site. We contacted our website provider and they are telling us they are not seeing any issues. Apple & other platforms are not detecting any problems with the site either. We have scanned the site with online scan tools like Site Lock and see no issues. How do we know what the problem is and remove any issues so the site can marked as safe? We are losing valuable traffic everyday and we’re not sure why.
Why would this be? We changed our website and host completely in March of this year. If there was a problem with the last site I don’t understand why the problem would roll over to the new site also.
Looking at the report it appears that several Security Vendors marked our site as clean and only a few marked it as malicious for some reason. Not sure what the problem is or how to resolve this.
I’ll need to wait 48+ hours.
fwiw ~ my understanding:
If it’s been 48+ hours since your FP submission. Then reach out to Norton support.
Your issue will be escalated when you tell support…that you’ve waited 48+ hours…with no change.
Norton support → Chat dialog…I’d attach related screenshot/s & Alert ID/s
All: In opening posts, the OP stated that Avast is ALSO detecting the site as bad. Has Avast support had a look at this? Norton won’t be able to assist completely. Just an observation.
