I bought NIS 2010 for 3 PCs from an on-line vendor found via PriceGrabber that received extremely high customer ratings in what appears to be a legitimate forum for feedback. What arrived was a CD with a product key for 1 user, along with a printed note that says its "license key code [is] good for 3 computers even [though] it is printed as 1 user. You should not have any problem activating 3 computers with the same license code for full subscription." Then, refreshingly, the note lists an e-mail address and a phone number. My subscription doesn't run out for a few weeks, so it doesn't make sense for me to test this out right away. But what's going on here? Could Symantec have mislabeled the disks? Is he just assuming that there's a technical glitch such that Symantec won't catch users who enter the code in three computers even though they're not supposed to?
