1% reconciling volume - How to Fix????!!!

I bought 2 copies of Ghost 14 for my home machines.  One runs XP and the other Vista.  After installing and running initial backups and installing all updates to the product last week,  this week they both have the dreaded 1% reconciling volume issue.  I have no error codes and both systems were clean installs of XP and Vista accordingly.  They never go past 1%!!!  This is a definite bug in Ghost, and frankly there doesn't seem to be any resolution except to delete the restore point and build a new backup.  It seems to loose track of the time and date stamp on the prior backup. BTW, both backup drives (Seagate FreeAgent 1.5TB and a Seagate FreeAgent Pro) were checked using chkdsk, defragged and work just fine.  I've read other posts on this subject and there is not uniform way to resolve.  I tried all the suggestions in the forum.

How about it Norton, when is the patch coming out?  Alternatively, whee is my refund after spending 2-3 hours trying to resolve this issue.
