17.1.0.14 patch eliminates Outlook Express spam protection

I'm aware of another thread dealing with the patch's effect on Outlook, and of course its effect on Firefox add-ons, but I haven't noticed anyone else raising this issue:  as soon as the patch was installed and the system restarted, the Norton antispam button disappeared from OE even though the antispam *folder* remainded in place.

I'm running OE6 and XP (SP2).

I mean the folder called "Norton AntiSpam Folder," created by Norton, where messages designated as spam are automatically sent.

Just to be clear, the problem I've identified is with Outlook Express, not Outlook.

I haven't seen this folder in my Outlook. I know that you are using Outlook Express but I thought that there would maybe be no great difference with Norton Antispam between OE and Outlook. When I go to the Norton settingspage of the program I find Antispam still enabled but the Toolbar in Outlook is gone and causes no longer issues (I hope so).

I thought your problem sounded similar to my one.

Kind regards, Ayiana

Problem resolved after I restarted OE again.  May not be related to the patch after all.
