Well I finally found something that works for me. I have several PC's running Vista Home and XP Professional, I have transitioned from 360 V3 to V4, used the Norton Removal tool many times and followed the instructions to create a text file and run backup. But I would still get the message that the backup had not completed and I needed to FIX it or change my settings. I noticed that the PC's that had Recovery drives selected in the What to Backup settings were the only ones having the problem. This did not make any sense to me so I unchecked them and guess what. The backups completed as they should and no more orange or red x's. Give it a try!
