This morning I ran the Malware prog and found more errors, which I cleaned up. OK...now it took me 12 tries to get to internet ("this program is not responding") notification. Rebooted and finally was allowed to get here.
Now, to answer your ques. I can NOT open N360, as it is always "initializing" and freezes, so I have to ctr/alt del to close it. This is all I can pull up for you (I installed the N360 on 8-13-12):
If you need to install Norton 360 v6 on a different computer, copy the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Norton\{N360630014-SHPD-FSD25037} to that computer, then double-click the N360-UPGRADE-ESD-NoDefs-19-8-0-14-EN.exe icon to install the product.

I received a popup from Norton informing me my prog was due for the upgrade. I went to the Norton website and downloaded your standard. Everything went fine. Download worked properly. No prob until later that day, I noticed it was more diff to get to the internet, but sporatic. Then I couldn't get an upgrade of flash player. Wasn't too concerned, just thought it was me. It got worse and worse, slower and slower. I had Norton, so I wasn't concerned about any spyware, etc. Also had Windows Defender....what the heck, double dose of protection...right? Guess not. Finally, got really frustrated and started this thread....and here we are.
Oh, yes....tried to click the removal tool link that the other guru suggested in the last msg....no go. Same prob. No "internet connection" popup.
I don't dig into the Web and go into questionable websites. I stick to my specific favorites. Haven't downloaded anything except N360 (and recently) the Malware prog. Don't do games except what is in Microsoft.
I know ya'll are just trying to figure this out and help, but I'm ready to toss this comp I'm so frustrated. I was tempted to go into setups and start "clicking", but was afraid I'd do more damage (besides I don't know doodoo about it).
Thanks!
