360 causing VPN crashes?

I am running a VPN that experiences frequent crashes.  VPN support has indicated that the problem *may* be caused by security software.  Here is their suggestion(s).  How do I go about making those changes to 360?

Are you running any security software at all? If so, you need to set it to ignore 2 things; the TAP32 adapter, and the process rubyw.exe. Both of these can cause false-positives in security software, which may attempt to shutdown and quarantine these. You can add exceptions to any security software you're running for the TAP driver, and for the following:
