just a bit confused why is 360 v3 updated to a new version the same day as v4 becomes available would it not be easier just to go to v4, or is their a special reason for the version 3 update?
If you do a manual 'Run LiveUpdate' it will update to the latest v3 version.
For those who don't want to upgrade to v4 .
Click link below to read Tony's post on how to download and install to v4

thanks
v4 is way better upgrade it's free with vaild product key. I have had it since build 33 came out you will love it.
i took used the betas thats why i cannot see any logic in releasing 360 ver 3.8
The 3.8 update was released a little while ago to bring the V3 up to date for it's users, to give them the best security available .
The final v4 wasn't released then.
But as it had to be obtained by doing a manual 'Live Update, some people who did not do this, did not get it.
If anyone who had not got the 3.8 update, now do a manual, looking for the V4, it will just automatically give them the 3.8

These are excellent questions -- "why not just push out an update to v4 for all Norton 360 users? Why release a Norton 360 v3.8 update?"
Some people don't want to update to the latest version, and we certainly don't want to force that on people. We can encourage it, and prompt them about it (see Norton Update Agent), but ultimately we want them to have the version they prefer.Since we still want customers with supported versions to receive the latest fixes, we have released a version 3 update for N360 v3 customers, and the N360 v4 full release.
Please let me know if this answers your questions about the release of N360 v3.8. Thanks!
