I recently received a notice that my Norton subscription was due for renewal. Price was 49.99 and presumably included the mentioned "automatic renewal fee". I couldn't find a reference to the cost of this fee, and a ref. to where and when I had elected to pay extra for a service that my other services (i.e. water, electricity, etc) actually give me a discount for allowing so I took Norton's offer to opt out of the service, however, the renewal price on the latest reminder has not reduced, it is still £49.99. I have gone through their website looking for anywhere which shows their prices although I am entirely computer illiterate and may have missed it, Also, in the reminder received today there was a link to "view options" but when I clicked on it I arrived at a page which assumed that I was there to renew and thanked me for my renewal, with no so called options in sight, I am not even sure that whilst I am writing here, Norton are not already completing the transaction. I have really tried hard to find a reason why I should renew, I can get McAfee for less than £20 and they seem to have a good reputation as well and Norton seem less and less attractive. Has anyone else found this to be a problem or am I being a bit paranoid?
