That is really interesting. We have always had some internet connection problems here.
The IP for the router, at least right now is 192.168.1.122. I looked up the history of the attacks and they always seem to stem from 192.168.1.118
Is there a connection? Is this a bad thing?
What kind of router is it (e.g. a Linksys, D-Link, Apple AirPort Extreme, etc.). If you don't know, that's OK--it's just for our own tracking purposes to make sure we don't have problems with a specific kind of router.
Since you are behind a router, you can disable the Portscan Detection part of Vulnerability Protection. The rest of Vulnerability Protection is very important and should remain on. To do this, open up the settings for Vulnerability Protection by launching Norton Firewall, and clicking on the Advanced tab. Then click on Configure next to Vulnerability Protection. Click on the Signatures tab. Then find the Portscan entry in the list, and deselect the checkmark next to it (the one in the "Enabled" column). Then click Done.
This will disable Portscan detection. While important for people who are connected directly to the Internet, Portscan Detection can be turned off safely if you trust everybody on the same network.
Let me know if that fixes the problem.

Thanks for the informative response.
Its a linksys router.
So what your saying is that these alerts are no real problem and represent no real threat to my computer?
Well, that should clear up the problems on this end then.
Thanks.
