Hello everyone,
I recently installed Norton Internet Security a week ago, and have noticed certain things have not changed with my internet experience. For one thing, the pace of internet loading seems to be the same. My computer is not 'slow' in the traditional sense. It just sometimes takes up to fifteen seconds for it to load a webpage. I thought using Norton would help eliminate that. Also, I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser and occassionally I get 15-30 second advertisements with audio. I thought Norton can also help eliminate those annoying pop-ups. Also, for some reason, whenever I open a new website sometimes, a different website will 'pop-up' that's not related to the one I am on. For example, I will be on my email website and all of a sudden a CBS video website appears advertising television shows available for online streaming.
I am a first time Norton user, so I am not totally familiar with the 'can do' and 'can not do' of Norton. Essentially speaking, is Norton supposed to help with Internet performance and detect and prevent pop-up advertisements?
thanks for your help,
Blaine
