Very often, after someone believes they have completed renewing their product's subscription, they miss one final step to help the product get updated. And then they send me an email at marian@norton.com for help. If this describes your situation, here are some tips.
If you have a confirmed emailed order receipt from Symantec's online store (hosted by Digital River), that email includes a set of instructions to complete the renewal process. Even if you can't find that email, you can visit the online order information page at www.findmyorder.com, where you can recover your purchase information and the renewal or product key needed to complete the renewal process. With that information at hand, open up the product's interface. (Click "Start">"Programs">"Norton" product name). Look for the "Support" tab and find "Subscription and Account Information". (The names of the tabs may differ by product type and version.) Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
You will see options labeled something along the lines of "I have already purchased a subscription. Please check my subscription status" or "I have already purchased a subscription and have a renewal code." Select the option that best suits your situation and follow the on screen instructions. Soon, you will get confirmation that your renewal process is completed.
