A Nasty One!

Man I've been hosed major time.  This is the worse bug I've ever had and I'm drawing a blank on how ot kill it.  Everytime I reboot I lose a few more programs.  It was subtle. It started out by taking out my DVD drive.  I've got another drive coming from Dell as they took over my system to diagnose and decided the drive was toast. This was when I thought the drive had merely died. I think it corrupted the register. Then all USB ports. Then it took out Norton, then Malwarebytes and SuperAntispyware, and more and more programs. The only thing I can think to do is wait for the new DVD and plug in a new HD and install Windows at that point.  I've got 2-500G HD's in the system.  I'll use the D: drive for the new install.

Any thoughts? Win7 Pro, 8Gigs RAM, i7 CPU, Dell XPS laptop.
