A suspicious volume pop up that won't go away

Several days ago I was playing a game on facebook when this strange volume pop up popped up.  I may have accidentally clicked on it, thinking it came with the game (That it was the game's volume control).  But, it keeps on popping up at random.  Never going away for good.  I've tried running the norton scan several times.  I've tried running Spybot Search and Destroy.   But, it will still pop up at random.  

 

I have Norton Security Suite Version 4.2.0.12

I have asked that your post be moved to the Norton 360 part of the forum because the version information you provided for your Norton product is a N360 product and not a NAV/NIS product.

Welcome to the Norton Forum!

 

I would recommend that you download and install MalwareBytes' AntiMalware; you can get it here.  Once the installer file has downloaded open it to start the installation procedure.

 

Follow the onscreen instructions leaving the default settings selected.  When you click finish MBAM will download and install the latest definitions the programs uses.

 

Once at the main screen of MBAM select the options to do a Full Scan, when prompted for what drives to scan make sure to select the C:\ drive and click Scan.

 

When the scan is finished it will present you with a list of items it found; opt to fix all of the detected items.  You may be prompted to restart the computer to complete the cleaning process.

 

Once you are back into Windows open MalwareBytes' Antimalware and select the Logs tab, here you will find the logfile of the scan, select the scan log and click on open.  Save this file to an easy access area of your computer like the C: drive or My Documents (Documents in Vista and Win7).

 

Close the Notepad program and MBAM.  Post the log file to this thread using the Add Attachment link just below the Attachments box to the left side of the Attachments box.

 

This will allow the Malware experts to see what is infecting yoour computer.

 

Please also provide what version of Windows you are using (i.e.; Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, or Windows 7).
