Tim just posted above that this was fixed by Microsoft, and he provided a link to their web page. I did as Microsoft instructed. THIS IS NOT FIXED. I continue to have the same problem. My laptop is new as of February 2013, with Windows 8 and Norton Internet Security. Norton's desktop and browsers continue to have nice green checks so I know they are working. Attached is an image showing Microsoft is still broken. So I just click to turn off messages as they remain meaningless.
