Hi, I have something to ask.
Today I really made a stupid mistake which causes me to get a bit paranoid whether my computer is safe or not.
My sister who recently lost her macbook ask me a favor to copy some data to her usb flashdisk using my computer. I already expected that something will definitely happened during the process. therefore the first thing I did was to scan my sis' usb flashdisk using norton.
strangely enough norton didn't detect any threat.
my sister flasdrive is a bit strange. some folders are hidden and there are some files with same name as the folder with .exe on its name. opening the file seemed to open the hidden folder in new window.(later googling makes me suspicious that it was infected with folder.exe virus)
ok the problem happened at this point, I was supposed to copy the data to folder named *print today* as I was confused so I tried to open print today hidden folder as well as print today.exe a bit later Norton detected suspicious behavior on print today.exe and warned me but I was in hurry and accidentally closed norton window that ask whether I should allow its access or not, checking history my norton seemed to treat my action as allowing the file access (though norton also blocked it from accessing internet as well as other suspicious behavior).
I was in hurry so I turned off my computer. afterward I did a full system scan and there seemed to be no threat.
that said I feel a bit restless about this. is my computer safe? is there any other precautions I should take to ensure nothing bad happen? (for one I will be doing threat scan with malwarebyte after this)
