I don't understand how the Devices page of my account gets populated and what it's for.
I purchased "Norton Security Deluxe" Aug 18th. The next day I upgraded an XP computer going from NIS to Norton Security. During installation it prompted me to log into my account. Continuing on, I didn't enter in the product key but just clicked on the "Norton Security Deluxe" icon that was displayed. I was assuming that it noticed I had available seats with this previously purchased product so I just clicked it.
On my browser I checked my account and on the Devices page it showed that the computer was "Trial" but on the Services page, it was showing up as one of the 5 seats. So I deleted the item on the Devices page and Removed the License under the Services page.
On the XP, this time I entered the product key for the Norton Security Deluxe. On my Norton account, the XP does not show up on the Devices page, but it does show up using one of the seats on the Services page.
Is the Devices page of any importance? The devices listed don't seem to correspond to the number of computers that are on the Services page. What would happen if I deleted all the computers listed on the Devices page?
