I keep getting emails from Symantec with the subject "Action Required: Your Security Updates Have Ended". My NIS subscription would have ended on May 20. I bought a new NIS 2012 package from Amazon and simply updated the product key on the three computers (I purchased a "for three computers" NIS package). At that point NIS asked me to provide an email address so it could note the new version in my Norton Account. I did that, and now on my Norton Account it shows the expired key and the new, valid, operating key, though I still periodically get this email message indicating that "I am at risk".
Further, the NIS installations on the three computers all show as funcitonal, with regular updates, etc.
Is there no coordination within Symantec to show that the same computers that had the key applied to them last year now have a new key applied to them this year?
Seems like a hole in the system.
