Computer which do not have internet access are not able to install Norton Anti Virus ? mainly because it is not able to activate the software ?
Which anti virus software are suitable to use on computer which do not have internet access ?
The computer can infected by the virus through the transfer of files using pendrive from other computers. So, an anti virus software is needed . I think most of the anti virus company provides download for the virus definition file.
znmng, I regret to tell you that starting with the 2008 products and Norton 360 version 2, there is no way to activate your product without an Internet connection. If you can briefly put the machine on the Internet during Activation you shouldn’t need to connect after that.
I already said if the pc is connected to other pc’s you need an anti virus. You might want to look into a free anti virus such as Avast or AVG. But keep in mind updates come daily. Sometimes 3 times a day. You will need to be downloading the updates then transferring them over to the non internet connected pc on a daily basis. Sounds to time consuming to me. Is there any reason why you do not want the pc to be connected to the internet?
If a pc doesn’t have internet access then it doesn’t need an anti virus program,. All anti virus programs need to update daily via the internet. If your pc never goes online then how can it get infected unless its connected to other pc’s via a network.

Welcome
Am I understanding you correctly that you installed a purchased copy of 360 over an existing copy of 360? If so I'd recommend that you delete 360 via the control panel and try to reinstall the purchased copy. If you have been using the identity safe be sure to save your settings before you do anything else.
If the simple delete and reinstall doesn't do the trick you will need to download the Norton Removal Tool to bring your system back to the point where nothing Norton was installed. Then you should be able to install your purchased copy and activate it.
On your 'why nothing happened' question was the program looking for a 19 character renewal code or a 25 character initial activation code?
Hope this helps

Unless your netbook came with Norton 360 preinstalled as a trial version (which I've not come across) you can't just activate what came on your netbook by using the KEY you have for Norton 360 -- KEYs are not intrchangeable; not even between the 4 subversions of Norton 360 that exist.
So if the Norton 360 you purchased and installed previously on your PC was the Standard or Premier version you could not use it's KEY on a Netbook version of those two main versions ...... !
Sorry about that but it's something many have asked for and hopefully may come some day .....
So what security program do you have on your netbook now and what came when you bought it?
Depending on your answers we can point you in the right direction since you can use the Standard or Premier version on a Netbook PC and if you have it on a CD we can give you a link to download from so you can install on a machine with no optical drive.

Welcome,
You can get your key - it is stored under your account at www.MyNortonAccount.com
If you have any further problem - like a max install error, contact customer support here: http://us.norton.com/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs
they will be able to assist you in completing the repairs.
Stay well and surf safe
If it were me, I would wait and activate after the 30 day trial expires. Welcome to Norton!
As soon as you activate with a product key, you start a 366 day subscription. So yes you would lose the 30 days.
Best to wait until 1 day left.

I have NIS 2012 for 3 computers. If I install one today and one in six months, do both installations get one full year or do all activations begin when the first one is installed?
The subscription time starts when you first activate the product key. So if you wait for six months to install on another computer, you will only have the ramainder of the year from the first activation.
Hope that helps.
