Krusty
I looked at the specifications you noted. Would it work also on a Vista machine?

Also I went to my current adobe reader 9 and clicked check for updates. It said no updates and did not give me the option to upgrade to version XI
Not sure how to get rid of 9 to get version 11

Calls,

I thought you had vista, that's why I posted the requirements.

Adobe Reader 10 lists Vista.

  • Intel 1.3GHz or faster processor
  • Microsoft Windows XP Home, Professional, or Tablet PC Edition with Service Pack 3 (32 bit) or Service Pack 2 (64 bit); Windows Server 2003 (32 bit and 64 bit; Service Pack 2 required for 64 bit); Windows Server 2008 or 2008 R2 (32 bit and 64 bit); Windows Vista® Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise with Service Pack 2 (32 bit and 64 bit); Windows 7 Starter, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise (32 bit and 64 bit)
  • 256MB of RAM (512MB recommended)
  • 260MB of available hard-disk space
  • 1024x576 screen resolution
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 or 8; Firefox 3.5 or 3.6
  • Video hardware acceleration (optional)

If you wanted to upgrade to v10 you could uninstall 9 and download 10 from here  -  http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5138.

If you have 9 and it says there are no updates available, maybe 9 doesn't have any security vulnerabilities?

Thanks
I have some other questions but I’ll make a deprecate post
