Advice about payment

Hi, 

I had an account with Norton in 2010 and after a year I let the subscription stop. I heard nothing for two years and forgot all about the account - as far as I was concerned it was closed and no money was being taken. Now I see that in 2013 and 2014 suddenly payments were taken out again. I received no emails about this and had no idea that money was being taken out (I confess I don't keep such a good eye on my cards and foolishly hadn't removed the billing details). When I spoke to customer services today online I was told that because 60 days had passed I can't have a refund. Normally I would say that is fair enough but the thing is I didn't authorise these payments and received no notification of them. I did not go into my account and ask for it to suddenly start up again so how come it suddenly activated? Is there anything I can do or have I just lost close to £100?
