I have been browsing a local newspaper website, when the screen suddenly "blanked" & a dire warning of infection appeared. I have not panicked into following the instruction, as the "convincing" message claims to be from Windows & not from Norton.
My system is as follows:
Win.7 Home Premium (SP1)
Norton Internet Security 2011 (18.5.0.125)
Malwarebytes.
Should I run a full scan, or ignore?
Also, if this is genuine, ie from Windows, why did Norton not generate it?
I have taken a screenshot, but do not know how to attach it (72yr old)!!!
Regards
Peter
